About us
History of New Life Christian Ministry George Wagener birthed the ministry in 2008 shortly after permanently relocating to the region. Early on in the ministry George and various supporting role players lived out their faith by supporting other ministries by all means necessary. Within the first year of the ministry, a dire need had been identified in the informal communities of Qolweni and Bossiesgif. Much of the evangelical work that New Life Christian Ministries were focused on this community. Although it is our heart to always support and not compete with existing ministries, we found no charismatic/ pentecostal churche in Qolweni / Bossiesgif and therefore felt lead to start New Life Church to fill this void.
Today New Life Christian Ministries are involved in several forms of ministry.

- operate "Life Teams" - as described by Curry Blake of John G Lake Ministries, actively healing the sick. - teach and train pastors, elders and new born christians alike. - provide facilities that form the platform for other ministries to function. - support needy children and babies in various houses of safety. - source and distribute food to the poor through various other ministry outlets. - evangilise. - host volunteers that wish to spend time serving the body of Christ in any of the above manners.

South Africa is in many ways considered a developed country with a steady growing economy, yet there are many third-world characteristics that have affected a large percentage of the South African community. Presently, South Africa with a population of 47,850,700 has an average life expectancy of only 49 years. Thirty-four percent of the population live below $2 a day, with an unemployment rate that has reached 25.6%.
The HIV/AIDS prevalence rate for South Africa is 11.4%, amounting to 5.5 million individuals with HIV/AIDS, the highest in the world.
Spiritually, South Africa is laballed as largely Christian, but unfortunately as with most of the world, this label is not a true reflection of the spiritual state of the population.
In most of the subcultures, accross racial and tibal lines, cult / suedo christian belief systems exist.
A large percentage of the population still have strong belief in witchdocters, locally referred to as "sangomas".
Ancestral worship is a dominant reality in most of the black and coloured communities, while a strong root of religion is found in much of the white communities.
