As minsitry we subscribe to the Life Team principles as tought by Curry Blake from the John G Lake Ministry and have started to form life teams in the Plettenberg Bay Area. In essence, a Life Team is a small, active group of spirit filled christians that believe Mark 16:15-20 is a direct instruction to all christians and thus feel the burden to act this commission out in and amongst the people of their community.

A Life team is not a house church, it is not a church, it is the body of christ coming together (interdenominational) to take dominion over all evil, regardless of it's manefistation.

A life team bring healing, deliverance and salvation in non-church settings to their community.

The New Life Church in Qolweni was birthed in 2007, when no suiable home could be found in the community ofr new believers. In the last 2 years Michelle and George have focused on raising up local leadership, resulting in a strong core of believers.

The church is now self-sustaining and being taught on a regular basis by pastor Marau, a local pastor.
George and Michelle are still the overseers and regularly bring the message at Qolweni.

The congregation is approx. 50 regular church goers strong.

"My food is to do the will of Him who sent me, and to finish His work. Do you not say there are still 4 months and then comes the harvest? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields for they are already white for harvest!"

The Plettenberg Life Team supports the evangelical outreaches, being always ready to serve and pray for the people in need.

New Life Community Centre - New Horizons
The new Life Community Center is a renovated tavern.

This building is in the heart of the New Horizon community and houses:

 -  A daily soup kitchen operated by "Building the Walls of the community", another NPO
 -  Temporary Food Storage Facilties from where food donations are distributed to other soup kitchens and good will outlets.
 - Youth activities facilitated by local ministries in New Horizons
 - Two different fellowships that meet in the building at different times on a Sunday.

Training Centre @ 51 Longships Drive, Plettenberg Bay
This will soon become the new administrative and main training premisses for New Life Christian Ministries.
This residential property will be altered for the remainder of 2010 so that it will be suitable as:

 - Training facilities where as many as 50 people will be able to be trained
 - Residential accommodation for one of the members of the minsitry's leadership
 - Guest accomodation being able to sleep 6 delegates to training.
 - Administrative space for the ministry.

God has been using us to secure food donations and to assist in the distribution of the donations to existing ministries with a heart for the hungry. At present we assist in the provision and distribution of approximately 16000 meals a month.

Approximately 15% of the food is distributed in Qolweni by means of food parcels from the New Life Church.

The New Life Kids after-school programme began in June of 2008. The programme began with18 children and has been rapidly growing. Currently, we have 120+ children in the after-school programme between the ages of 3-18 years old.  At the after-school programme the children participate in art, traditional dance, choir, games, sports, are assisted with homework and given a meal each day. The New Life Kids after school programme has become a place of safety where children come to learn and play under the loving care of the staff.
